Bernd Mertens – Executive Search & Consulting was founded in Munich in 1998. Beyond the scope of this, Mr. Martens is a partner at MPW Executive Search and a partner in the international network, pns group international.

His business-sector focus is on industrial companies with emphasis on the automotive and aviation industries

The posts for which personnel are appointed are management and high-calibre subject-specialist positions across the entire value-creation chain of the business operation, that is to say from R&D, via Production, Logistics, Purchasing, Controlling/Finance, through to Sales.

Many years of management experience in the small-to-medium-sized company sector and in large-scale industry provide Mr. Mertens with the necessary competence, together with his personal network, for finding the best available candidates on the market.

In order to match the high expectations involved in executive recruitment consulting, in terms of quality, Mr. Mertens is a member of the Bundesverband Deutscher Unternehmensberater BDU e.V. – the federal association of German management consultants. Accordingly, the BDU’s principles are consistently implemented with regard to proper and qualified executive recruitment consultancy.

To further optimise quality standards, within the framework of customer and candidate processes, Mr. Mertens completed the official certification procedure in 2010, according to the rules of the European Confederation of Search & Selection Associations – ECSSA – receiving the title “Personalberater CERC/BDU“ (Certified Executive Recruitment Consultant).

Furthermore, to extend and cultivate his sector-specific competence and his network, Mr. Mertens is and has for many years been a member of the VDI e. V. (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure – the Association of German Engineers).
